A lot has happened in the last month but not too much in the GP’s growth.
The family packed our bags and left on vacation leaving the pumpkin in the able green thumbs of my neighbor mother in law.
While we had a most excellent trip out west, the pumpkin leaves were beginning to lose their resistance to downy mildew. In full disclosure, I didn’t really do much to fight it.
And now 80% of the leaves have wilted and died.
The fruit, albeit not a fair winner, is by far the hugest curcorbit I’ve ever grown. I’m still taking it to the pumpkin fest, goddammit.
