It is time to check in with Katie at the museum.
My field trip was very informative and made me feel less unsure about the progress of my pumpkin. I’d estimate my pumpkin to be only shy of her’s by 5-10%. We also compared notes about pigmenation, innie vs. outie blossom ends, fertilizing, weeding, foliage, surface scratches, and GP love.
I also got some good beta about not watering at night to help reduce mildew.
There are 51 days left on the growing season before weight off in Damariscotta. Pumpkin Fest is October 8 & 9th. Consider coming out to see for yourself the amazing celebration of giant pumpkins (and of course, mine in particular)!
